Parque Estadual Turístico Do Alto Ribeira

Posted by roberto7 on September 20, 2007

Parque Estadual Turístico do alto Ribeira, also known as PETAR, is where I was supposed to travel to, with my classmates and a couple of teachers. This is the last day they are there, and at this moment, they probably are packing their stuff to come back home. It is a 4 hour effort from there to here.

Four friends and I didn’t go there, each one with a different “excuse”. But the important thing is that we have been together these 3 days. The beauty of it is that we have no work at all to do, no pressure, no expectations from anyone. We just had to come to school and have class with the senior students. The point here is that our classmates spent 3 days of pure boredom, while we did whatever we felt like (kind of).

Despretentious post…

Time for a new post

Posted by roberto7 on June 28, 2007

Alright, I think it’s time for a new post. Not as good as the previous two, but a little interesting.

I want to know what you all think about writing a history for a school class, no matter wich one. I believe it is a great exercise, but sometimes (often, in my case), we must restrain ourselves and not write all that we think it’s good, and that can’t be good. The fact that we can never (not always, yes, but very often) express ourselves totally freely, and hence, uniquely and originally,  kinda kind of throws away all the purpose of expressing oneself.

Any thoughts about this thought ?

Homework

Posted by roberto7 on June 9, 2007

Hey there again, mates. How is everybody doing ?

Today I’m feeling really seditious. This is not going to be a long post, as I’m not in the mood to write much. So, here we go:

I know homework is basically there to fix the subject that was given in class. But then I ask you, fellow readers, doesn’t the teacher needs to know how to teach properly ? I mean, we got our time inside the school, I don’t think it’s fair to make we learn outside it, the subject they can’t make we learn on their classes.

So, what’s your thoughts about this ?

No more S.C. Corinthians

Posted by roberto7 on May 28, 2007

Hey there ! How are you all wordpress fellows doing ?

Well, I’d like to tell you, devoted readers, that this post, before known as S.C. Corinthians, has nothing more to do with the world renowned sports club previously biographied here.

As I was told, indirectly, but told, to delete it and make another post about anything I wanted, since it wasn’t copied and pasted from another web page, here I am.  And this post is going to talk about my doubts/insecurity when it comes to posting.

Why can’t I copy and paste something I think is cool or interesting, or even yet, both enough to be posted. Or else, why can’t I copy from another site, like Wikipedia for instance, so I can post a lot more information than I can give to other people about the topic I’m writing about ?

What if I want to make a post about something I don’t know much, but I can’t copy and paste from another site or post ? Yes, I know someone there is thinking right now that I don’t need to copy it 100%, that I can just get some information and change some parts of it. Yes, I agree I could do that, but if I’m trying to write something about an almost 100% unknown subject, like, for exemple, penguins habits and routines. So, I don’t know what I can erase and what I can leave in my post so it is as faithful as it can get. What do I do ? Do I risk to not be precise and good enough ? Do I copy the whole thing, or some major parts ?

According to the headmaster of this operation, I need to be original, no matter what. So, that’s what I’m doing right now, listening to some Stevie Ray and writing this crappy post, instead of letting the old one, telling some of the history of my favorite soccer club, be.

Why I want to go to Milano

Posted by roberto7 on November 29, 2006

I’d love to visit Milan for two main reasons:

First, I love Italy, but I never went there, so it would be really great to visit a important city as Milan.

Second, because it is the home of one of the best football (soccer for you americans) club in the world. It would be great to go to Giuzeppe Meazza, also known as San Siro, wich Milan and Internazionale share. And if possible enter the dressing rooms and the field. And of course, try to meet some of the players such as the great defenders Paolo Maldini and Alessandro Nesta. The incredible midfielders Andrea Pirlo Clarence Seedorf and Kaká.

Why I want to go to Madrid

Posted by roberto7 on November 29, 2006

I’d love to visit Madrid for two main reasons:

First, because it is the capital of Spain, the country my family, Aragón, used to reign long time ago.

Second, because it is the home of one of the best football (soccer for you americans) club in the world. It would be great to go to Santiago Bernabéu, and if possible enter the dressing rooms and the field. And of course meet some of the players, such as one of the best center backs of the world and 2006 World Cup Champion with Italy, Fabio Cannavaro.

Why I want to go to Barcelona

Posted by roberto7 on November 29, 2006

I’d love to visit Barcelona for two main reasons:

First, because it is the capital of Aragón, and I’m a decendent of that family, so it would be cool to visit something that was in my family long time ago.

Second, because it is the home of the best football (soccer for you americans) club in the world. It would be great to go to Camp Nou, and if possible enter the dressing rooms and the field.

Music Theory

Posted by roberto7 on November 29, 2006

I can play guitar decently, but I have no music theory at all. Hence my lack of ability improvising. Well, I know the minor pentatonic scale, so I can improvise a little on top of some blues progressions.

It would help me immensely creating music too. I have some chord progressions, but since I have no idea of what to do, I can’t create melodies, wich can be frustating sometimes.

Damn you, Book TV

Posted by roberto7 on November 26, 2006

Quotes from http://onlycrook.wordpress.com/.

“I like TV. There, the confession is over.” These days, it is harder to find someone who doesn’t like it instead of who likes it. It’s not a crime to watch TV. Principally when you like watching informative television. ”I watch CSPAN a lot.” Not everybody can say that.

I personally like to watch movie channels and the Sony one, I love comedies. Everytime I wonder where the writers take all those ideas for 200 different episodes for each show. It’s umbelievable. I couldn’t do that, even if I were paid for that.
